Care plans

We look after what we build — and gardens we didn't

Mowing and edges, beds weeded and fed, pruning in season, irrigation checked on every visit. The rhythm that keeps a garden a garden.

The philosophy

A garden is a commitment, whoever built it

Handover day is the worst a good garden ever looks — it improves for years if it's kept, and unravels in months if it isn't. That's why every Earth Craft build ends with the offer of the same hands staying on. And it's why we take on gardens we didn't build too: a well-made garden gone shaggy is a rescue we enjoy. Every plan starts with a free assessment, because planting density decides the time a garden takes — your price is set on sight, in writing, before we start, and it doesn't creep.

Every visit

What actually happens when we come

Mow, edge, and the lines that matter

Lawn cut to the season's right height — longer in heat, so it shades its own roots — and edges done properly. Edges are 80% of "neat".

Beds: weeded, fed, mulched

Weeds pulled before they seed, beds fed in season, mulch topped up where it's thinned. Mulch is the cheapest water-saving and weed-control there is, and most services skip it.

Pruning in season, not on schedule

Plants get cut when their calendar says so — spring bloomers after flowering, roses in July, hedges little and often. Never the everything-gets-a-haircut-today approach that ruins a year of flowering in an afternoon.

The irrigation check

Every visit, the system gets eyes on it: blocked drippers, misaligned sprays, a timer still on winter settings in October. Ten minutes that saves gardens and water bills.

Tidy and gone

Clippings and prunings contained; removal per your arrangement. You come home to a garden, not to evidence of gardening.

The plans

Choose a rhythm; we hold it

Weekly R5,700 from / month

For gardens that are the pride of the street, entertainers' gardens, and properties where "almost neat" isn't a thing. Same crew, same day each week — nothing ever gets away from you, in any season.

Fortnightly R3,300 from / month

The sensible middle for established gardens. Enough rhythm to stay ahead of summer growth without paying for visits winter doesn't need.

Monthly R1,960 from / visit

A proper half-day reset — best for hardy waterwise gardens, holiday homes, and rentals between tenants. We'll tell you honestly if your garden needs more than monthly to hold.

"From" prices reflect a small, uncomplicated garden; the free assessment sets your exact figure. Green waste removal, major once-off pruning and irrigation repairs are quoted separately so plan prices stay honest.

The year, on a plan

What each season's visits are for

Autumn

The setup season: feed, compost, mulch deep, prune what's finished, divide and move while the soil's still warm. Autumn work is why spring looks effortless.

Winter

Structural pruning, rose season, drainage watched in the rains, planting — winter is when the Cape plants best. The quiet season is the strategic one.

Spring

Everything wakes at once. Growth managed weekly, lawns repaired and fed, irrigation recommissioned and rezoned before the first heat.

Summer

Hold the line: mowing high, deadheading, water discipline under restrictions, wind damage patched. The season clients notice — carried by the three seasons before it.
